G H James Cyf is a current Framework Contractor for Natural Resources Wales and has successfully completed a number of contracts for its formerly independent constituent departments (Countryside Commission for Wales; Forestry Commission Wales; and, Environment Agency Wales). Being a Framework contractor provides us with the opportunity to tender for; and gain experience in a diverse range of work, from constructing forestry roads to provide harvesting facilities for heavy plant and machinery, to constructing wetland habitats for endangered plant and wildlife species.
The following are examples of recent contracts:
Mathan Uchaf – Fen Wetland Construction “Removal of vegetation and turf to extremely tight tolerances to provide a gradual flow of groundwater over exposed peat using laser and total station depth control.”
Brynteg, Bronaber – Wetland construction as part of the “Pearls in Peril” Project
The aim of this particular wetland project is to restore wet woodland, decrease carbon dioxide release and to improve water quality that would aid water habitat features.
